Tips for DIY invitations on a budget!

Most importantly keep it simple! Usually the more detail equals a greater cost.

Shop online! Instead of going to scrapbooking stores find a website that makes invitations such as mine that are happy to sell materials and card cut to size so then you don't have to buy a cutter or waste card if not experienced. (I will happily sell materials upon being asked!)

If for any reason you can;t shop online check out shops such as spotlight who have bargain bins usually with packets of beads and other craft items for a couple of dollars and you will only need a few packs if keeping it simple.

HOW TO KEEP IT SIMPLE BUT LOOKING GOOD

Only have one or two items for decorations such as -
* Lace and ribbon
* Ribbon and a button (with the right button, buttons look great!)
* Type you initials in a large size and have a tube of glittery paint available from spotlight in a squeeze bottle in the paint section for less than $5 for a decent sized bottle
* Bargain bin beads arranged in the corner (pic of this style to come!)

Having an informal wedding? There are some great websites out there where you can create animated invitations online and send them to guests via email, here is one i made:

You can also pay a small cost for extras such as removing ads, adding music ect

Make your own stencils! It's easier than it sounds (tutorial coming very soon!)

Always need envelopes right? Try buying bulk from places such as office works you can save yourself a fortune and they offer delivery!

Thank you and have fun!
